Systems & Kits
The ILS mission is to optimize the lifecycle performance of defense and automotive systems. This team supports the Humvee family of vehicles plus the U.S. military’s medium and heavy tactical trucks, bridging equipment, mine-detection vehicles, petroleum and water supply systems and other equipment.

AM General provides aftermarket parts distribution from the Aftermarket Fulfillment and Training Center (AFTC) in South Bend, IN for US Defense, International, and Commercial customers in over 70 countries.
The AFTC provides the full-range of lifecycle support—from technical manuals and training to maintenance planning, parts, components, kits, and remanufacturing. The 210,000 square foot facility is equipped to handle diverse part size and quantity requirements for 10,000+ parts. This award-winning support is available worldwide to ensure optimal readiness, performance, and service life extension for military and commercial vehicles.
Among other awards, AM General’s AFTC has earned the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency’s Outstanding Readiness Support Award in the large business category for outstanding support to on-going U.S. military operations.
Our facilities also include a 320-acre off-road training course, classrooms for instruction, hands-on technical training bays and state-of the-art driving simulators.
