Industrial Engineer

Provide support and manufacturing direction when working liaison assignments.

Establish methods and maintain production standards, line balances, and manning requirements for all phases of vehicle assembly.

Establish labor and material requirements for engineering changes, conduct make vs. buy studies, prepare station material layouts and monitor production conveyor line speeds.

Interface on engineering changes with other disciplines impacting manufacturing.

Interface with union on labor standards, labor problems, and ergonomic issues.

Participate in use and implementation of Lean Six Sigma and ISO Standard Tools within the assembly process flow.

This position requires one to interact with production employees, supervisors, quality acceptance, design engineering, tool/process engineering, suppliers, consultants, contractors, customers, co-workers in other departments and the government.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Technology or equivalent experience required.

Must have 3 - 5 years experience in Industrial/Methods Engineering.

Must have 3 - 5 years time study experience and background in automotive assembly.

Requires 3 years experience establishing plant layouts and cost proposals.

Must be proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office software. AutoCAD, UG, VisMockup, Teamcenter, SharePoint and Access Database are a plus.

Experience interfacing on union matters helpful.
